Overview

Welcome to the Functional Nanomaterials Lab (FuNL).

FuNL is headed by Prof. Osman Bakr of the Material Science and Engineering Program in the Physical Science and Engineering Division at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

At FuNL, we are dedicated to studying the physics and chemistry of hybrid materials.

The Functional Nanomaterials Lab (FuNL) studies the self-assembly and design of hybrid organic-inorganic materials and nanomaterials to generate breakthrough applications in optoelectronics, photonics, and renewable energy.
